If a participant's wristband is lost, someone stole their access card, or their pass malfunctions, you can deactivate the associated code. This measure prevents the use of invalid passes, thus contributing to the smooth running of the event.
Once the object is deactivated, just add the identification number of a new object to the corresponding order, if required.
Please note: you can only do this if the pass has been associated with a specific order beforehand.
Procedure
Unlike associating an item with an order, you must deactivate the pass code from Thepointofsale.com's management tool.
In the left-hand menu, click Orders, then click Archives.
Search for the participant's order.
Enter their name, email address or order number in the relevant fields.
Click Search.
If the participant still has their pass, find the code on the back of the pass and type it in the UID field of the search tool.
In the search results, click the order number to access it.
Scroll the page down to the Tickets section.
Find the problematic pass. Click on its six-character code in brackets.
Delete the code so that the pass is no longer valid.
During entry validation, a deactivated pass will display as invalid on the validation device. It is therefore crucial that your teams run additional inspections every time a red message appears on the validation device.
To give the participant a new pass, enter the new pass code, then click Save.
Please note: if your account manager has already activated the balance of your object passes, you will not be able to associate a new wristband with the participant's order. In this case, give them a wristband that has already been activated, without associating it with their order.
