Understanding Box Office Service Fee Billing

Understand how our ticketing and transaction fees are billed, as well as how to set up your box office pricing for on-site sales.

Written by Julie Lebel

Learn how our ticketing and transaction fees are billed, and follow the steps to charge transaction fees on to buyers during box office sales.

Ticketing Fee Billing Terms

Regardless of the sales channel, including at the box office, our ticketing fees are systematically added to your ticket price.

  • Integrated Payments: When payments are processed using our Stripe POS terminal or via Integrated Payment, our ticketing fees are transferred directly to our Stripe account. You will not receive an invoice after the event for these transactions.

  • External Payments: For all sales processed using an External payment method (for example, cash or your own POS terminal), our ticketing fees will be invoiced to you once your event has ended.

Transaction Fee Billing Terms

For your on-site box office sales:

  • If the purchase is paid via Integrated Payment or our Stripe POS: Transaction fees are set to be covered by the organizer by default and will be invoiced after the event.

  • If the purchase is paid via External Payments (cash, your own POS): No transaction fees apply or will be charged to you.

Adjusting Fees for Box Office Sales

If you wish to pass these fees on to the buyer on-site: Adjust the organizer fee at the box office so that it matches the transaction fees applied to online sales (e.g., 2.90%).
