Understand the definition of Unit Price / Calculate taxes on the Unit Price of tickets for your events

Go to the “Rates” Tab of your Event

In the Unit Price field (found under the Rates tab of your event), enter the amount you wish to receive for each ticket sold, including taxes.

To Calculate Taxes on Unit Price

If you have NOT entered your tax number into your account.

If you want to add taxes to the price of your tickets so that they are the responsibility of the ticket buyers, you must do the calculation on your own using a tax calculation site like this one:

If you want to add taxes to the price of your tickets so that they are at the expense of ticket buyers, go to your event's Rates tab and click the Taxes button.

You will then see the taxes broken down and applied to the unit price of your ticket.

1. Click the Taxes button in your event's Costs section of the Rates tab.

2. In the popup box, you can see the taxes broken down and applied to the unit cost of your ticket.

Here is an example of how GST and QST are calculated for residents of Quebec :

Please get in touch with your account manager for details on how taxes are calculated in other Canadian provinces.

In this example, if you want to receive $20.00 per ticket sold after taxes, you must enter $23.00 in the unit price field of the costs.
