Fees and taxes
What Are Ticketing Fees?
The ticketing fee in the green box of the image above includes the ticketing fee specific to Thepointofsale.com. If you have configured your event this way, the buyer will pay the transaction fee.
Ticketing fees = $0.79 + 2% (plus taxes). For all tickets of $0.01 and more, the amount of ticketing fees charged to customers is automatically added here to the amount of the unit cost, taxes not included.
Free tickets:
For all free tickets, the ticketing fee does not apply.
What is a transaction fee?
The transaction fee is charged for using our merchant account.
Transaction fee = 2.90%. If you have decided to charge the transaction fee to buyers, it will be calculated and added automatically to the Ticketing Fee field in the Costs section of the Rates tab.
How Can I Absorb The Ticketing Fees?
If you want to absorb our ticketing fees instead of having buyers pay them, reduce your unit cost by the amount equivalent to our ticketing fees.
How Does Tax Calculation Work?
For detailed explanations regarding tax calculation, you can consult the How Does Event Ticket Pricing Work page.
