External Box Office: Integrated Payment with Stripe Payment Terminal

Connect Stripe terminal, external box office, Wi-Fi network, transaction, printing, emailing tickets and receipts.

IMPORTANT! This payment method can only be used if you rent a Stripe terminal from Thepointofsale.com.

Connect the terminal to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer

  1. Open the Stripe terminal;

  2. Select your Wi-Fi network;

  3. Enter the password;

  4. Click Join in the top right-hand corner of the terminal screen.

Connect the terminal to the external box office

  1. In the external box office, click on the gear wheel in the top right-hand corner of your screen, then on Connect a terminal;

  2. Select the terminal linked to your rental and click Connect. The terminal's status should normally be Online.

    Note: Make sure the terminal is connected to Wi-Fi. Otherwise, it will appear offline, and you cannot use it.

  3. The following message will appear on the screen when the payment terminal is connected correctly.

Make a sale

  1. Make a sale in the external box office according to the participant’s preferences.
    By clicking on the Place Order button, you will be redirected to the external box office’s payment page.

  2. On the payment page, click the Stripe integrated payment method.

  3. Follow the instructions in the external box office and tap the credit card on the Stripe terminal.

  4. Once the transaction is complete, an approval message will appear on the terminal and in the external box office.

  5. Click on Complete Transaction in the external box office.

  6. A confirmation message will appear on the screen.

Printing

On the confirmation page, you can choose whether to print the tickets, the attendees' labels, or the receipt.

If this is unnecessary, click Finish, and you will return to the external box office home screen, where you can proceed with another transaction.

Email

If you did not enter the buyer’s email address during the purchase process and the buyer would like to receive their receipt by email, click on Send by email.

  1. A window will open, and you can enter the participant’s email address.

  2. When clicking Send, a purchase confirmation will be sent to the buyer, and the following message will appear on the screen.

**If you have already entered the email in the buyer’s information section before placing the order, a confirmation email will be sent automatically, and the Send by email button will not be displayed.
