Q. Which Devices Are Compatible with Watching Live Virtual Events & How to Use?

All about the devices compatible with our live virtual events (broadcast, live stream), and how to connect them to the video platform.

The connecting process to live virtual events differs depending on the devices used. This article will help you figure out which devices can be used and how to connect to your event.


On your MOBILE device

Click on the link sent via email by Thepointofsale.com. This will open the viewing page in your device's default browser.


On your LAPTOP or DESKTOP

Click on the link sent via email by Thepointofsale.com. This will open the viewing page in your device's default browser.


On your TELEVISION with an HDMI CABLE

First, make sure your HDMI cable is connected from your computer to your television.

Once connected properly, you should be able to see the computer screen content via your television screen.

Then, click on the link sent via email by Thepointofsale.com. This will open the viewing page in your computer's default browser, which will be visible on your television screen.


On your SMART TV

If your smart TV can open a browser (such as Chrome, Firefox, Edge, etc.), open it and access your emails. Then, click on the link sent via email by Thepointofsale.com. This will open the viewing page on your browser.

Alternative method: You can also copy the link's characters directly into the browser's address bar (URL). This will also open the viewing page.


On APPLE TV with an APPLE MOBILE device

Make sure your device (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch) is compatible with Airplay. Also, make sure it is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Apple TV.

Activate Bluetooth connexion.

Then, open your device's Control Center. To do so, if you are using an iPhone X (or later) or an iPad with iPadOS (or later), swipe down from the upper-right corner of the screen. If you are using an iPhone 8 (or earlier) or iOS 11 (or earlier), swipe up from the screen's bottom edge. You should now be able to see the Control Center.

Tap on the Screen Mirroring icon.

A window listing all available devices nearby should appear. Select your Apple TV.

An AirPlay code may appear on your TV screen. If so, enter the passcode on your device where specified.

Warning: Your TV will use the device's screen orientation and aspect ratio. If you'd like to fill your TV screen, change your TV's aspect ratio or zoom settings.

On APPLE TV with a MAC computer

Make sure your Mac is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Apple TV.

On your Mac, click on the link sent via email by Thepointofsale.com. This will open the viewing page in your device's default browser.

In the video playback controls, click on the following icon:

Then, select your Apple TV.

On CHROMECAST

Make sure your device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Chromecast.

On the viewing page, click on the icon at the bottom right of the page:

You can also go to the top of your browser (Google Chrome) and click on the 3 little dots, then select "Caster," or right-click on the video and select the cast option (which means to show on your connected device)

N.B.: Note that some customers have noted a lag between image and sound when they cast from a tablet. If this is the case for you, try casting from a desktop computer.


On CHROMECAST with an ANDROID device :

Make sure your mobile phone or tablet is on the same Wi-Fi network as your Chromecast device, then follow the steps below:

  • Open the Google Home app.

  • Tap the device you want to cast your screen to.

  • Tap Cast my screen. Cast screen.

On Playstation & XBOX

In the integrated browser's URL, manually enter the link's characters provided via email by Thepointofsale.com.
