COVID-19: How can I reduce the amount of sold tickets for an event with reserved seats?

Because of the recently announced governmental measures, several organizations will need to reduce their venue capacity by 50% and apply a social distancing rule.

Please find below the procedure to clean up your orders:

1. Modify your event's status as offline via the Publication tab under the Online Launch section.

2. Create a new event, including a seating plan with social distancing.

3. Publish your event online in private mode.

4. Within the Archives module, determine the orders which need to be cancelled. Then, cancel them and send an Excel sheet to your event advisor. The latter will proceed with the reimbursements afterwards.

Please ensure that the Excel sheet provided includes all the following info:

  • Order number

  • First name

  • Last name

  • Email

  • Are you reimbursing the box office fees? (This fee will be charged to the organizer afterwards)

  • Are you refunding the organizer's fee?

5. Within the Archives module, transfer the tickets from the old event to the new one.

6. Once the exchanges are completed, send back the electronic tickets to your buyers.
